Greetings from a very busy Alice Paul Group Team!
I wanted to send along today this very quick, but VERY EXCITING announcement that Callie Jett, founder of the Pro-life organization Talk About Adoption, has joined the team (as of last week) as Alice Paul Group's Creative Director and Marketing Manager! Please join me in welcoming Callie to the team!
Callie's background in grassroots marketing and targeted campaigns made her a natural fit for Alice Paul Group, so her hire, for us, was a no-brainer. You can find here bio here on the "about us" page on our website. Callie’s ability to bring Christ's passion to serve, as well as her incredible energy for the causes and issues that our firm works to advance, will take Alice Paul Group to a new level while expanding our reach to those whom we serve. Plus, her availability to join the team at a time when the company is expanding at record-breaking pace, is a huge blessing for our team, but most importantly for the incredible array of clients whose work is changing our world!
You can reach Callie by e-mail at Callie@AlicePaulGroup.com - drop her a line to say hello!
Also, as we more forward over the months ahead, you will be hearing from Callie and myself as we update you on our clients and their world-changing work! In the mean time, though, here's a quick client plug: GO SEE UNPLANNED, a movie about my dear, dear friend and client, Abby Johnson, who quit her job in the abortion industry years ago and whose ministry And Then There Were None is changing the dynamic in the pro-life movement - check out this opinion piece about her featured in USA Today! To date they have helped over 500 workers quit their job in the abortion industry! I am so very humbled by their work and all that God is doing through them... what a grace it is to serve them and our other awesome clients.
Again, I'll be in touch soon. Thank you so much for being a friend, supporter, and thank you for all that you do to make our world a better place!

Greetings from a very busy Alice Paul Group Team!
The New York Times recently ran an article online about a wealth of new artifacts and letters from the original suffragists that has recently been discovered. Containing correspondence between Susan B. Anthony, Isabella Beecher Hooker and several other notable activists, including Elizabeth Cady Stanton, these letters are, according to Ann Gordon, a retired professor at Rutgers University and editor of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony Papers Project, “A stunning collection.” According to the article, Ms. Gordon said it sheds light on a contentious period within the suffrage movement, while underscoring the degree to which the movement was driven by complex networks of on-the-ground activists. “We don’t pay enough attention to what a local movement this was,” Ms. Gordon said. “We’ve warped the story by only knowing the names of the national leaders.”
We think Ms. Gordon is onto something.
We also think that these letters illustrate the power of grassroots - YOUR power as on-the-ground activists and organizations.
Like so many movements today, the suffrage movement was a grassroots movement. The first feminists were grassroots activists. They were effective because they employed out-of-the-box grassroots strategies and tactics, even amidst the sometimes contentious relationships that they had with each other.
There is a lesson for us in this. An important lesson: there is power in concerted grassroots activism. Grassroots activists, when they employ strategies and use the tools available to them, can change history. They can MAKE history.
The suffragists may have worn sashes, written letters and distributed pamphlets, but their strategy was unique for their time and down-right effective. Today we don’t have sashes (I think we should – ha!) and hand-written letters but we have social media and so many technological tools at our service to assist and serve grassroots activism! We can be even more effective and efficient in fighting for our causes, and, through our clients, that is what Alice Paul Group is all about. We are passionate about empowering grassroots (and occasionally, for fun, we might still wear a sash).
Will you join us? You can do two things:
Forward this e-mail to the activists in your life who may be interested in receiving our updates, and/or
Forward this e-mail to a world-changing organization who may need our graphics design, new media, branding, and/or video help. We look at causes, not budgets… so if the cause is just, we will help!
We are so excited to share some long-envisioned news with you…

Making History is hard work! This is why we give 110% to our clients. Our new Website, New Brand and refined Focus make us proud, but not nearly as proud as the opportunity we have had to work for you and for our society. We thank you for your continued patronage, support and enthusiasm and we look forward to keeping you up-to-date with regular communication and exciting updates.
Be on the lookout as we will be releasing a ”Tip Thursday” e-mail once a month with tips on how to utilize social media and graphic design to advance your cause. Make sure you are following us on Facebook,Twitter and Instagram to get even more helpful tips and information!
Together, we are all making history… We hope that Alice Paul would be proud!
